It's NO fun getting old!

This is for all my young beautiful friends, daughters and sisters! I swear since I turned 46 (3 1/2 short weeks ago!) my body is falling apart! What's with that! My hips are giving me fits! I've had two adjustments in less than a week. Now I have shooting pain still in my right leg. My left eye is acting weird! Twitching and lagging when I blink. I have female issues (which probably shouldn't be discussed in this forum!) It stinks! All of that wonderful youthful energy slowly leaving me! You know that saying that goes something like "Youth is wasted on the young . . ." I may have gotten that wrong, but that is how I feel!

So take note! Do everything I haven't done! Don't take your youth, health and energy for granted! It really does lessen and it be will sooner than you think! I didn't listen when I was told the same thing! And look at me! :)

It's a good thing I still have my mind! Or at least it was there the last time I looked! Great, I've probably lost that too!

New Floors & Doors

Two weeks ago we started the process of laying a new wood floor in our Living Room. We hired my brothers company Wesmor Inc to install! They did an awesome job! As with most home improvement projects this snowballed into also replacing 6 of our interior doors! We also had all new baseboard and casings installed! It looks SO BEAUTIFUL! I feel like I'm living in someone else's home! We've lived here for 23 years and it's never looked better! There is still much that can be done, but for now I'm just going to soak in the newness and beauty of my new floors and doors!

Baby Ava

I just have to brag a bit about my newest niece (on the Moore side!) Ava Adelaide Moore. She is as precious as she is beautiful! Ava came into this world four weeks early! Mom (Missy) went to Flagstaff to visit her sister and pick up the kids at EFY. Missy's water broke early that morning and after a full day of labor little Ava was born! She had to spend a week in the hospital and a week after coming home to Mesa had to return to the hospital for jaundice. She is doing great now! She has been so loved that she doesn't like to be put down! So if you have some time, stop by Brian and Missy's and hold little Ava! Mom could use a break!

Girls Only!

We had so much fun at the cabin this past weekend! My sister Cindi, daughter Hillary and sisters in law Tiffany and Missy (& baby Ava) spent the weekend in the beautiful pines! Girls only! We had so much fun! We missed our other two sisters - Patty and Michelle and of course Mom, but we made the best of it! :) We had fun watching movies, lots of visiting and reading! We didn't sleep too much but for some reason still came home rested! It was a great way to end the summer. Hopefully, we can do it again soon!

I have the best sister and sister in laws in the world! They really are some of my best friends! They help me so much through this life! I'm so grateful they fell in love with my crazy brothers! (Who are great dad's and husbands!) I have the best family! I'm going to start counting the days until our next Girl's Only Weekend!

Back to School

Yes - It's happened! The kids are back in school! Monday was their first day! We are now well into the second day! To be honest I really wasn't looking forward to them going back to school! My kids are older now, so it has been a pretty nice summer! And I really have enjoyed NOT having a real set schedule! But reality is here and I can't believe how much I'm getting done! So my attitude about having the kids back into school has totally changed! This is GREAT! I didn't have to share the computer at all the last two days! And the office is actually almost cleaned! (It was clean at the beginning of the summer, but it headed down hill real fast!) So, I guess as the song goes it really is "the most wonderful time of the year!"

Look Who's Wearing Braces!

Holli got braces on Thursday! What a trooper she was! Almost two hours sitting in the orthodontist's chair! I think she looks cute in them! She gets her expander this week! I'm sure that isn't going to be fun! It looks like she will be wearing braces for about 2 years!

Mom! It's Your Birthday!

So yesterday was my birthday! It was a nice day thanks to friends and family! My daughters were so good to me! Hillary made me a german chocolate cake! (my favorite! yum!) Heather, Heidi, Holli, Hope and Vaughan gave me beautiful gifts and made sure the house was clean and I didn't have to cook! (My favorite part!) But the funniest gift was this video that Heidi and Holli gave me. The plan was to play this video early in the morning to wake me up! I could of told them that wouldn't work! They barely get up before noon! I usually have a whole days worth of work done before they get up! Anyway, last night they bestowed this fun gift on me! I've never laughed so hard! (Laughter keeps you young. Right?) So enjoy! I really do have the most creative children!
